Given the reality of used cooking oil (UCO) in Portugal and the urgent need to recycle and value this waste, EcoMovimento presents the project “O Oleão Vai à Escola”.

This can be translated into “Oil Container Goes to School” or, in a more realistic way, “ECO Goes to School”. ECO is the UCO container that we specifically use for this project, and it's much simpler than GOTA - You can check the shape of ECO in our logo, right at the beginning of this section. Back to the main topic, this is a completely free project for Schools, which we have been developing since 2011.

This initiative continues to thrive and be part of our daily activity, registering around 300 partner schools.

The mission is very simple: to raise awareness among the entire school community of the importance of recycling UCO, protecting the environment and ensuring the necessary conditions for this to be an increasingly frequent practice.
